Cookie policy
What we store in your browser and why.
The short version
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on goldenshopping-uk.com. We store your bag in your browser so it's still there when you come back, and our payment provider may set cookies it needs to take payments securely.
What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| gs_cart_v1 | Local storage | Remembers the items in your bag | Until you check out or clear your browser data |
This is strictly necessary for the shop to work, so it doesn't need your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). It stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
Third parties
- Payment provider. At checkout, our payment provider may set strictly necessary cookies to process your payment and prevent fraud. These are governed by the provider's own cookie policy.
- Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address in the process. Google Fonts doesn't set cookies.
Controlling storage
You can clear local storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you do, your bag will be emptied. Blocking them won't stop you browsing, but your bag won't be remembered between visits.
